Bali features a unique system for writing in the Balinese language known as Balinese script. In the technological realm, a tool is essential for preserving the utilization of Balinese script to aid in understanding the language written in this script. These indispensable tools encompass computers and smartphones. Previously, efforts to digitize this process involved inputting Balinese script into standard Unicode characters on a computer to generate the Bali Simbar font. This font can then be utilized within software such as Microsoft Word after the fonts have been installed. Nonetheless, the Bali Simbar font presents some inaccuracies in conversion determination, necessitating a proficient understanding of the Balinese script by users, including nuances like differentiating between the characters "e" and "è."

In developing an Android-based conversion application that transforms Latin letters into Balinese script, the design concept and planning phase entailed comprehensive data collection, employment of Unified Modeling Language (UML), and Conceptual Database integration followed by implementation. This conversion application, tailored for smartphones operating on Android version 2.3, assists users in accurately converting Latin letters into Balinese script. Additionally, the application facilitates learning of various aspects of Balinese script, enhancing user knowledge and fostering direct interaction with this unique writing system.
